The Main Market square in Cracow (Kraków), Poland, with its 200 meters x 200 meters is one of the largest squares in Europe and certainly the largest medieval square in the old continent (it is larger than St Peter’s square in Rome). Its perfect design is certainly a meeting point in Cracow both for inhabitants and tourists. Bordered by noble and historic houses this square has been witness to some of the most important events in the history of Poland. It contains several cafés and restaurants, places to rest but also points to observe the largest stage of the town: street artists, flower markets, open air concerts that witness Cracow well deserves the title of capital city of Polish jazz, summer festivals, a TV studio installed in an old tram, craft bazaars, the typical fiacre, little electric open trams or elegant carriages that make the traditional tour of the old town or other various guided tours and the Mickiewicz Monument, the most famous national poet and practically the symbol of the Market Square

While seated in one of the cafés or restaurants take a look at the extraordinary architectural details of the surrounding buildings and mansions: you will be impressed by their beauty. And then just enter the trade centre in the middle of the square, a souvenirs market with boutiques and kiosks selling anything from kitsch souvenirs to elegant amber jewels.
